It’s our pleasure to announce that:
Nicola Cosciani Cunico is the new CEO of the Saleri Group
Following the Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday that assigned formal executive powers, Nicola Cosciani Cunico steps today into the role of CEO of the Saleri Group.
“A significant change in leadership that will define our future path in pursuing our mission to innovate and support the transformation of the automotive industry. With Nicola, our group gains a manager with distinctive experience in the industrial world and multinational organizations,” said Francesco Italo Saleri, speaking on behalf of the Saleri family, the majority shareholder of the group. “Nicola has acquired extensive experience in international contexts, and his professional journey has taken him through various functions, making him the right leader for the growth of the company and the team. Nicola’s strengths lie in his ability to take the management ‘to the next level’, his strong emphasis on customer needs, and on the workshop – the real place where value is created. These are the characteristics that led me, along with my family, to this decision, with the aim of refocusing on industrial performance to achieve and enhance the goals of the business plan, with a strong focus on improving industrial performance, sustainable product development, and emerging markets. Additionally, the Board of Directors has been strengthened with essential expertise to achieve these objectives. We welcome, among others, Johann E. Wieland‘s vast experience and knowledge of the global automotive market, with major focus on Asia.”
“I approach this role with great respect, and I am honoured to work with an excellent and comprehensive team of managers. The continuous transformation of the automotive industry will be an important challenge for Saleri, while boosting continuous innovation in Thermal Management for future mobility,” said Nicola Cosciani Cunico. “The priorities will be set by the business plan, which aims at improving and evolving our products, addressing the challenges of vehicle electrification, and achieving global growth,” he added.
After graduating with a degree in Economics from the University of Bologna, Nicola Cosciani Cunico has developed a solid experience of over 30 years in various corporate environments. In the last three years, he served as EVP of Global Operations at Westport Fuel Systems. Previously, he held the position of CEO in various FIAMM group companies and roles of increasing responsibility within the ABB group.
Join us in a warm welcome.
